Currently looking for a part time employee who can independently work from home during hectic proposal time, reporting directly to the President.  Responsible for assisting in the editing and production of winning proposals.  Key success factors include: ability to adhere to a schedule; commitment to on-time performance; and experience in proposal editing and production.

Essentials Functions and Responsibilities May Include:

Edits content of proposals for adherence to editorial conventions (e.g., spelling, punctuation, and grammar)

Tailors and formats resumes of key personnel into the proposal

 Formats the proposal for production using headers, footers, generated lists (table of contents and list of figures or tables), captions, and numbering (pages, graphics, and tables)

Performs desktop publishing for covers, spines, and lables

Identifies opportunities to use graphics in the proposal

Develops graphics using Word SmartArt or PowerPoint

Inserts and places graphics in documents with captions

Maintains the acronym glossary

Maintains the proposal style guide

Meets proposal schedule deadlines

Understands advanced Word features, such as page setup, section breaks, paragraph and table styles, table formatting, captions and cross-references, text boxes, tables of contents and figures, editing, combining revisions, tracking changes, graphic layout options, and document properties

Understand Excel page setup features

Manipulates or fillsout PDF Files

Assists with Final Proposal Production

Minimum Qualifications: 2 or more years with writing and editing documents, such as proposals in a deadline-driven environment

Ability to collaborate within a team environment

Excellent English written skills

Ability to adhere to proposal processes and editing standards

Ability to work evenings or weekends to periodically meet proposal deadlines

Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel
